Borrowing Policy Changes

Place More Holds!

Great news! As of April 28, the number of holds that you can place has increased from 5 to 10.

Serving You Better!

As of April 1, we're changing some of our bollowing policies. To make sure you have greater access to our most popular items, the new borrowing period for DVDs, videos, CDs and periodicals is seven days.

In addition, we're pleased to announce the creation of our new Express Reads collection. Now you can browse more shelves of bestsellers, reading group favorites, Oprah picks and more!

See the chart below for new loan periods as of April 1, 2008:

Library Material What's the borrowing period? Can I put them on hold? Can I renew them?
DVDs 7 Days Yes Yes
Videos 7 Days Yes Yes
CDs 7 Days Yes Yes
Periodicals 7 Days No Yes
Express Reads 7 Days No No

In addition, starting April 1, borrowing privileges will be blocked for customers who write bounced checks. These privileges will remain suspended until repayment of fines, in addition to a $10 bounced check fee.
