Ken Siegelman's Brooklyn Poetry Outreach featuring Diane Block
Diane Block is a classically trained violinist whose musical sensibility informs her poetry.
Her poetry is widely anthologized and has been featured on the NYC poetry scene as well as in Philadelphia and South Wales. She is thrilled to put her first poetry book, When Ice Melts to Green, out into the world. The poems attempt to make sense of her life’s journey and are divided into four sections: “Yesterday, When We Were Young;” “Bearing Witness;” “Love’s Testament;” and “Behind the Veil.”
She served the Farmingdale School District as Orchestra Director for 25 years and co-founded the violin/cello Duo Gemini Journey. When Ice Melts to Green was released in 2023 by Darklight Publishing.
