How do I access my account?

my accountYou can access your account from any computer with Internet access. Click on "My Account: Renew & Hold Books" in the upper right corner of BPL's home page, which takes you to the "My Library Account" log-in screen. Enter your name, library card barcode and PIN if you already have one. (If you do not have a PIN, you will have to create one.) You are now in your account.

What is a PIN? How do I get one? What if I forget my PIN?

You need a PIN to access your account. Your PIN must consist of a 4 digit PIN (no letters or symbols). To create a PIN, enter your name and library card barcode into the "My Library Account" log-in screen, leave the PIN field blank and hit "Submit." Enter your desired PIN twice on the next screen and hit "Submit." This creates your PIN.

If you forget your PIN, you must fill out the PIN Reset Request form. You may also visit any BPL location with your library card and a form of identification, and ask a staff member for assistance.

If you log into your library account online for the first time and have trouble accessing it even when leaving the PIN field blank, you may already have a PIN. Oftentimes library staff have users create their PINs at the Circulation Desk when they first get their library cards.
