Library Catalog

The library catalog is where you go to look up BPL books and other materials in BPL's collection.

To access the catalog look to the upper left hand side of the BPL home page and click on Library Catalog:

If you are on a computer outside the library, enter the URL for the BPL Web site in your address bar: http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org.

How to Search

To search the catalog first decide how you are going to search. Do you know the specific title, author, subject, or isbn/issn, or do you want to search by keyword? Do you want to limit your search to a particular branch, or do you want to see if any BPL location owns what you’re looking for (“View Entire Collection”)? Type your term(s) into the search box and click GO: :

This will give you the holdings of the materials you are seeking.
