Let's Dance! Do you like to dance? Movement and music are great tools to help young children learn the rhythm of language and build their pre-reading skills. They’re also great activities to enjoy together. Share a good book with your child, or try some of our action songs and rhymes together – and don’t forget to dance! Tommy Thumbs up!	Point thumbs in air
Tommy Thumbs down!	Point thumbs to the ground
Tommy Thumbs dancing,
All around the town	Point thumbs up and dance them in a circle
Dance them on your shoulders,	Point thumbs in air and touch shoulders
Dance them on your head,	Point thumbs in air and touch head
Dance them on your knees	Point thumbs in air and touch knees
And tuck them into bed!	Fold thumbs under fingers and place hands in lap
