Temporary Closing

Flatlands Library

The Flatlands Library will close at the end of business on Friday, May 18, 2012. We wll reopen Tuesday June 19 at 1:00 p.m.

During this period, self-check machines and smaller customer service/information desks will be installed.

Neighboring branches include: Mill Basin, Clarendon, and Paerdegat.
Marcy Library

The Marcy Library will close at the end of business on Friday, June 1,2012. The Marcy Branch will reopen on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

During this period, a book return slot, self-check machines and smaller customer service/information desks will be installed.

Nearby neighborhood branches include: Bedford, Clinton Hill and Macon.
McKinley Park Library

The McKinley Park Library will be temporarily closed for customer service enhancements at the end of business on Friday, April 13, 2012 and reopen on Monday, May 21.

Nearby branches include Bay Ridge, Dyker, Mapleton & Sunset Park
Midwood Library

The Midwood Branch will close for customer service enhancements at the end of business on Friday May 11, 2012. The branch will reopen on June 11, 2012.
Williamsburgh Library

The Williamsburgh Library will be closed for customer service enhancements and roof replacement at the end of business on Friday April 27, 2012. It will reopen Tuesday May 29 at 1 p.m.

Neighboring branches include: Leonard, Greenpoint, and Bushwick.

Renovation

Park Slope Library
Park Slope Library closed to the public on Friday, October 30, 2009.

The building will be closed while undergoing the following renovations:
- Installation of a new exterior, ADA-compliant ramp and entry door
- Replacement of the existing entrance door
- Installation of a new interior, ADA-compliant elevator
- Provision of new ADA-compliant bathrooms
- New floor finishes
- New interior finishes
- HVAC upgrades
- New lighting
- New public service model including self checks
- New furniture

Bookmobile Service at Park Slope

Throughout the renovation, bookmobile service will be offered at the following times:

Mondays: 11 AM – 4 PM (8th St. at 6th Ave.)
Wednesdays: 1 PM – 6 PM (8th St. at 6th Ave.)
