English Classes

ESOL: English for Speakers of Other Languages

Learn English at the Library. The library provides free ESOL/Civics classes for adults 17 and older whose first language is not English. The Library offers beginner and intermediate classes. In BPL ESOL classes, you practice listening, speaking, reading and writing English for everyday needs. English classes are taught by experienced teachers.

Free English classes meet two days per week for a total of 6 hours in libraries throughout Brooklyn. Evening, daytime and weekend classes are available.
