The gala, which was attended by more than 400 guests including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, featured live music, gourmet comfort food, signature cocktails, a preview of a new exhibition celebrating Sesame Street's 40th Anniversary and a fun live and silent auction that evoked the spirit of childhood.

We are pleased to announce that thanks to our generous supporters, the gala raised more than $375,000 to support children's literacy programs and materials at all 60 BPL locations. During these challenging economic times, the support of our generous donors will help us to expand our reach and strengthen our commitment to serving Brooklyn's youth.
