Meet the Challenge

Brooklyn Public Library's Macon Library, located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, is currently under renovation and is scheduled to re-open in the spring of 2008.

Your gift today will help us raise money to buy new books and a full collection of materials to establish the historic Macon Library's new African American Heritage Center.

The Independence Community Foundation has generously offered to MATCH your donation to "Buy a Book for Macon." When you check off the "Buy a Book for Macon" box on our donation form you will help us meet the Independence challenge and DOUBLE your donation and impact by stocking the shelves of Macon and the African American Heritage Center.
