The Brooklyn Vanguard is a dynamic group of Library patrons between the ages of twenty-one and thirty-something committed to expanding the role of the Brooklyn Public Library in the
intellectual life of the City of New York. Founded in 2007, this special membership group seeks to promote the vital cultural and societal impact of the Library's resources to Brooklynites, and their
friends residing in the remaining four boroughs of New York City.
The Brooklyn Vanguard is a social networking group for individuals who want to work together to make a difference for Brooklyn. Through membership dues and revenues from events, the Brooklyn Vanguard
directly supports Brooklyn Public Library and its programs.
