400 Years Later jewelry making teen time


Jennifer Jacobs will teach Teens/Tweens how to make beautiful bangles (Manillas) using African beads, mudd cloth and mixed wires.  Manillas were used as currency to buy everyday items. But, Europeans used them to buy and sell slaves from West Africa and bring them to the Americas. This special workshop is part of the 1619: 400 Years Later initiative. Snacks provided.
