Artists On Site: Catalina Tuca Exhibition Opening
Join BPL Artist-in-residence Nathan Sinai Rayman and his project GALLERY, a moveable gallery space, as he presents the Network of Extraordinary Artists (NEA) in a series of rotating exhibitions.
For this pop-up exhibition this thing is red: recording booth, Rayman has invited guest artist Catalina Tuca who has transformed the moveable gallery into a recording booth. The project invites visitors to share a verbal description of any object when the artist or a representative of the artist is present. Audio recordings will then be reinterpreted as sculpture by 3D modelers, turning language into sculptural form. When the artist is not recording, visitors are welcome to enter the GALLERY and view the recording booth and objects, which make up the exhibition.
This event is an exhibition opening reception with an opportunity to record audio and meet the artists Tuca and Rayman.
This program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
