In this entertaining multimedia talk, Artist-in-Residence Neil Goldberg will present selections from his photography and video work. Goldberg often focuses on everyday life in New York — in one project he photographs commuters at the moment they have just missed the subway — and brings both humanity and humor to his material.
About the Artist: Neil Goldberg makes video, photo, mixed media, and performance work that’s been exhibited throughout North American and Europe and is in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Museum of the City of New York, and elsewhere. The New York Times describes Neil Goldberg’s work as “tender, moving and sad but also deeply funny," and Time Out New York writes “Goldberg has produced some of the most quietly intense and affecting art of his generation.” He teaches at the Yale University School of Art and is a Guggenheim fellow.
