The traditional sound of the djembe along with the classical sound of the violin. The rhythms of Haiti combined with the exotic Afro sounds of Colombia with an urban twist from Brooklyn. StringsNskins takes you on a journey through the African Diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean. The high energy sets include traditional dances, songs in English, Spanish, and Haitian creole, and the message of unity.
Dance lessons are at 6:30 pm, band starts at 7 pm.
In case of rain, the event will be held on Thursday, July 19.
