Candid (candid.org) is a new 501C3 nonprofit organization created when Foundation Center (foundationcenter.org) and GuideStar (guidestar.org) joined forces in early 2019. Candid connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to do it. Candid provides data, knowledge and training on private foundations and 1.8 million U.S. nonprofit organizations. Candid’s databases provide detailed information on private foundations in the U.S. and abroad, including foundation grants, funder giving interests and types of support awarded, funder application and contact information, and information on the nonprofits who receive foundation and corporate grants. As a Candid Funding Information Network partner, the SST Division @BPL provides both print and electronic resources on foundation, corporate, and government funding, proposal writing, and nonprofit management.
