The Young Adult Literacy Program (YALP) is one of several adult education options at BPL! It’s designed specifically for young adults to develop their academic and social skills essential for lifelong success!
To determine eligibility for YALP's Fall 2019 Classes potential students:
- MUST be between the ages of 17 and 24 at the time of enrollment, and must not have a high school diploma OR has a diploma from another country but it cannot be used for further academic pursuits.
- Take A TABE (Test for Adult Basic Education) reading assessment, that will be administered at HSE screening (attendees must plan to stay for at least 3 - 3.5 hours on day of testing).
***Screening attendees will receive a FREE metrocard!***
