Your Favorite Poet's Favorite Poet is a class celebrating poetic lineage, and the idea that behind every great writer is a great reader. 

We will study the work of poets recommended by Eduardo Corral, Kaveh Akbar, Nikky Finney, Dunya Mikhail, Tina Chang, Terrance Hayes, Ilya Kaminsky, Gabrielle Calvocoressi, Aracelis Girmay, Sharon Olds and Ada Limón. In addition to looking at their poems in conversation, students will be given prompts to respond with poems of their own. 

The class will be led by writer and human rights professional Emily Sernaker. Emily's work has appeared in Ms. Magazine, The Sun, The San Francisco Chronicle, McSweeney's and more. She is a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar and a 2019 Lincoln City Fellowship recipient.

This class will meet for 10 consecutive weeks. Registrants are encouraged to attend all 10 sessions.
