As part of the City's ThriveNYC initiative, the NYC Health Department is offering free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training to all New Yorkers. This is an eight hour training. Youth Mental Health First Aid introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents , builds understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. 

MHFA is a groundbreaking public education program that teaches the skills needed to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance abuse challenges and crises. Enroll in the course through the link to the right.
