Join the Emerson Collective and Columbia University in-person at the Center for Brooklyn History for the launch event of "I See My Light Shining: The Baldwin-Emerson Elders Project." This event is hosted by the Baldwin-Emerson Elders Project and will feature a collection of oral testimonies along with an array of ephemera, including photographs and letters that provide an essential memorialization of American life. It will showcase the stories and wisdom of our elders, as collected by the Baldwin-Emerson fellows. Join us  for the launch in the Center for Brooklyn History's Great Hall from 5pm-7pm on Sunday, May 19th. The event will include:

Opening remarks by Jacqueline Woodson, a presentation on the Digital Archive, a panel featuring the Baldwin-Emerson fellows, and an excerpt from the Baldwin-Emerson Fellow Denice Frohman's play Esto No Tiene Nombre. This will be followed by a reception with drinks and hors d-oeuvres and a pop-up art exhibit.
