creative writing poetry

Please join us for an exciting event, Brooklyn poet, Darryl Alladice.

Darryl is a weekly volunteer at LiveArts/New York where he, along with a small team of teaching artists, work with students from the James Baldwin School (in Chelsea) in introducing them to the arts. The students get a chance to journal about their lives, work on improvisational skills, stage presence, dance and oratory. Every semester the students are given the opportunity to also work in the professional theater and dance studio on the premises and showcase their work.
Darryl’s work has most recently been seen at the 440 Gallery, Park Slope Library, Barnes and Noble, South Oxford Space, Cornelia Street Cafe, and LaMama Theatre.
Along with other members of One Breath Rising, Darryl hosts a 2nd Sunday series at the 440 Gallery in Park Slope and a quarterly series at South Oxford Space in Fort Greene, both in Brooklyn.
Following Darryl's reading will be the open mic, so put a poem in your pocket and come read with us!
