Children's Book Event with Nelson Mandela’s Family
This event has been cancelled.
Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet Nelson Mandela’s grandson and Director of The Mandela Legacy Zondwa Mandela and his children, the co-authors of this book, Zazi (age 8) and Ziwelene (age 6).
In Grandad Mandela, Nelson Mandela's great-grandchildren ask their grandmother Zindzi 15 questions about the freedom fighter, President, and Nobel Peace Prize-winner that they simply remember as "Grandad Mandela." Publishing in celebration of what would have been his 100th birthday, Grandad Mandela is the only children’s book about Mandela written by the family.
Together in conversation with renowned author and illustrator Pat Cummings, the Mandela family and the book’s award-winning illustrator Sean Qualls will discuss Nelson Mandela, his legacy in today's world, and the importance of equality for all.
Books will be for sale and personally signed by the Mandela family and illustrator Sean Qualls.
