Summer Reading 2018 Kickoff: Come Jam With Us!

On Saturday June 9, Summer Reading 2018 kicks off a musical celebration of Summer Reading with fun programs and activities for all ages from 10 am – 3 pm throughout Central Library.

10 am                  Universal Musical Maker Space

10:30 am            Musical fun with Joanie Leeds & the Nightlights for kids

10 am – 3 pm    Sign up for Summer Reading and get your summer reading list with challenges for all ages!

12 – 3 pm           Instrument Petting Zoo with Brooklyn Conservatory of Music

                            Drumming workshop by Urban Stages

                            Musical maker space with ArchforKids and KokoSource

                            Face painting, temporary tattoos and balloon sculptures

                            Book Match Teen provides reading recommendations by teens for teens

2:30 pm             Summer Jam Dance Party

Looking for Summer Jam events at your neighborhood library?

On Saturday, June 9th, join us from 10 am to 5 pm for musically-themed Book & Beats celebrations at all Brooklyn Public Library locations with fun programs and activities for all ages.

The Borough Park, Ryder, Mapleton and Midwood branches will have their programs on Sunday, June 10 from 1 to 5 pm.
