Creative Aging programs at Brooklyn Public Library

Brooklyn Public Library is part of the Lifetime Arts Affiliate Network, made up of over 20 library systems across the United States that offer multi-session art workshops for people 50 and over, which are taught by professional teaching artists. These programs usually last from eight-twelve sessions of at least 90 minutes each, and are followed by a celebration where participants showcase their work for family, friends and neighbors. BPL works with DOROT's University Without Walls program to offer remote access Creative Aging programs.

Since 2011, Brooklyn Public Library has provided over 50 multi-session art workshops, taught by professional teaching-artists.
